I shot this video for Squadda and Zach G’s “4_!” off the Fates’ Book EP a couple weekends ago. The concept is trading places and intermeshed experience after an encounter with witchdoctor Jel (of Anticon). We had a whole lot of fun bouncing around the bay, snacks on deck, rappers in tow.

The video also got a shoutout on the legendary NAHRIGHT. Check these boys out!

I want to ring in summer with this track. Blasting through the streets, top down, fire hydrants loose, short shorts, youth in heat. Antwon’s wooing on this track will have girls batting their eyelashes, and Chris’ cooing will make them fall in love.

I was asked to photograph Ships In The Night in Oakland this past weekend, one of many fun shoots recently.

It was a hesitant acceptance that turned into an empowering experience. I hadn’t been in about 3 months, my last time there being the scene of some recent trauma. What could have been a triggering situation turned out to be a fantastic night of dancing, positive company, frolicking about with my camera and capturing one of the most vibrant communities in the East Bay.

I took a self-pic with a beautiful soul, Olayinka.
